Orthotist

Duties and responsibilities:
 Orthotists work with patients that need extra support on their muscles, spine, or limbs. They design the parts they need and they fit apparatuses made of plastic, wood, leather, and a metal to help there stability, and strengthen or repair body parts. Orthotists work closely with physicians, the physicians may give the prescription for the limb so that the patient can be stable. Therefore the orthotist make them along with Prosthetist.

Average Salary: $25,000-$40,000


Educational Requirements: Students should take the most challenging high school courses that include math, science, and English. Some colleges and university’s offer a bachelor’s degree in orthotic and prosthetic programs.
