Medical Illustrator
Duties and responsibilities:
Medical
illustrators are skilled artists, whom work in the medical field and create
graphics for textbooks, magazines, educational films and journals. What they
draw is the human body/ body parts, and wide range microorganisms. Sometimes they
have to use models and make artificial body parts including, ears, and noses
for patients whom are deformed or have undergone some surgeries.
Average Salary: $35,000-$50,000
Educational requirements:
Students
who are looking into becoming a medical illustrator should take college
preparatory program. In college they should either major in art and minor in
science or major in science and minor in art.
Reflection: I would not want to do this because I’m not
artistic.
