Pharmacy Technician

Duties and Responsibility:

                Pharmacy technicians work in pharmacies, they do what the pharmacists tell them. Their main responsibility is to fill the prescriptions which the doctor informs them about. They measure the right amount of medicine from bigger containers. They recheck the medicine before handing it to patient. Their duties also include:

·         Checking inventories and ordering supplies

·         receiving and checking in supplies

·         Waiting on customers

·         keep areas in pharmacy clean

Average Salary: $15,000-$25,000

Educational Requirements:

                Students should take the most challenging high school courses, and typing courses in high school.  A high school diploma is required to begin the training in a pharmacy. These programs are six months.
