Patient Representative
Duties and Responsibilities:
Patient
representatives work for health administrators to address the concerns and
special needs in their families. They evaluate patient satisfaction,
complaints, and they collect information about patients. They work in
hospitals, nursing homes, and other long-term care facilities, and in public
health agencies.
Average Salary: $20,000-$40,000
Educational Requirements:
The student that wants to become a
patient representative should take challenging high school courses in business,
science, math, and English. They requirements are different but most employers
prefer college graduates with backgrounds in health or social services.
Experience or courses work in conflict resolution is also valued.
